A team manager provides a number of crucial tasks.
They are a key contact point between parents, swimmers and the team coaching staff, from arrival at the venue, taking on responsibility for the safeguarding and well being of all of the swimmers and other team staff at an event.
Team managers record swimmers arrival and departure, they marshal swimmers to their race, in our club events this might be moving them around the pool, in an open meet they ensure they go to the marshalling area at the correct time ready to race.
They provide support promote team spirit and motivation to the team, while overseeing general behaviour/attitude of team members.
Being part of the team is very rewarding, and lots of fun as well, we usually have a number of team managers on duty, so your never on your own, so why not give it a try?
