We have a number of swimmer poolside helpers, that is our swimmers aged 14+ who help out on the lanes of our youngest swimmers. Development, Junior 1 and Junior 2 swimmers.
Following the planned programme that’s posted on the whiteboard, the swimmers use their own experience to pass on tips to their lane of swimmers.
The swimmers may be using the volunteering experience towards their GCSE course work or for their Duke of Edinburgh award. Once 14yrs old they are encouraged and supported in doing a formal swimming qualification.
