Starting with arms in a Y position slightly wide of the shoulders, the arms move forwards, pressing down on water with hands palms slightly out, at the hips, recovering over the water at the same time.
There are two dolphin kicks in the stroke as the hands enter the water and as the hands finish the pull.
Breathing takes place when the pull is pushing back under the body and finishers as the hands exit, the head should be down as the arms come over the water.
